Google Wave – About

December 30, 2009 Leave a comment

Google Wave Developer Preview presentation at the Day 2 Keynote of Google I/O. To learn more visit http://wave.google.com

“What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.”

Just got my invitations email from Google. Giving it a try, sounds fun! I first impression is that it is definitely a tool that might take over a lot of other current communications and collaborations programs and sites. If done correctly, marketing it well, Wave might just take over Messenger + Tweet + Email. Well, if you have 1 hour & 20 mins to spare, I have kindly attached a presentation by Google Wave Team, as they will demo what is Wave, what it can do for you, how it can change lives, your life.

Visit http://wave.google.com/ for more info + sign-up for invites.

P.S. Want to add me to your Google Wave? Just send me an email. TC.

Wireless Electricity

September 1, 2009 Leave a comment

Eric Giler wants to untangle our wired lives with cable-free electric power. Here, he covers what this sci-fi tech offers, and demos MIT’s breakthrough version, WiTricity — a near-to-market invention that may soon recharge your cell phone, car, pacemaker.

Finally, someone have did something that might be with Nikola Tesla was trying to do about a century ago. Though this time round, it’s not free for all electricity. Still, I think this finding have great potential in lifestyle and medical sector. Thanks.

VW Plans Merger With Porsche!

VW Merger with Porsche

VW Merger with Porsche

Well, I don’t know the details, I will just summaries the picture of the merger I understand from reading other articles online.

As everyone know, Porsche had bought a ton of Volkswagen shares and in somewhere May 2009, they acquired over 51% of VW shares, so they “own” VW in a way. Now, because of bad debt of Porsche from some company, the CEO has been fired. Leaving VW to pocket the Porsche name as one of it’s subsidiary companies like Audi, Bentley, Bugatti & Lamborghini, just to named a few.

Porsche workers should be able to keep their jobs. Everyone is happy.

Richard St. John – Success Is A Continuous Journey

June 16, 2009 1 comment

Richard St. John reminds us that success is not a one-way street, but a constant journey. He uses the story of his business’ rise and fall to illustrate a valuable lesson — when we stop trying, we fail.

This is so true. In fact, I reckon everything in life uses this principle. Career, Health, Relationships, Love. When we stop trying and doing things that will maintain or enhance our lives, in due time, we will fail. So is important, in my point of view, to continuously grow, learn, strive for. Don’t run away from problems, face it, solve it, learn something out of it. Thanks.
