“The new line by Santambrogiomilano is called Simplicity. It is a collaboration between founder Carlo Santambrogio and designer Ennio Arosio featuring a series of iconic furniture pieces, beds, sofas and bookcases, along with architectural elements such as staircases and kitchens. They are all fashioned from ‘extraclear’ glass.
The release of this line coincides with the launch of their new showroom in the UK. They are currently seeking a permanent location for this incredible concept home.”
“The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible because of the world’s most complete four-dimensional map of the universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010.”
Watched it, loved it. The sheer size of our Universe is really big. In compare, we are so small. It’s always good to watch planets, stars comparison vids. It makes one feel that life can be bigger, better. There’s always more.
After I am done watching the vid, I read a few comments, which are some hippies talking arse. After watching, one could get a sense, and feel that the 3 little alphabet that make the sound of “god”, is not really someone, or something. Is the stuff that is still unknown to us. There are groups of individual who pray to some figures, or direction towards a block, or others. My guess is everyone just want peace of heart that some great power are there to guide them. Simple.
To really feel good, one have to start from inside, inside ones body. Kneeling with hands on the floor or held together does not help. It is the feeling after doing it that will, maybe.
If there are no different believes, will there be true peace with all humans? Maybe it does help. Not that we need to have an unanimous idea to believe in, but to know that help is within, within each person.
“Šolta Island will be home to Europe’s first rotating hotel
A rotating hotel is to form the centrepiece of a new resort near Split in Croatia. Designed by Richard Hywel Evans of Studio RHE, specialists in holiday resort design, the concept was proposed from a desire to provide sea views from each room.
While most of the fine details of the hotel remain under wraps WAN can reveal “the 3 storey building is a 61 metre diameter very slow moving continuous turntable rotating 1.3 times per day, and will be built of steel in sections at the huge Split shipyards which are directly opposite the Island,” says Evans. “The building is entered from below at Lower Ground Level which does not rotate with the 22 metre diameter centre hub of the building which is also static containing the Reception, circulation stairs and lifts,” he adds.
The full development is comprised a new build marina and resort which will include the hotel, guest pavilions and villas.
The new 170 berth marina will be accompanied by a performance stage, yacht club and marine village along the water’s edge.
The development is to be built on Šolta Island on a hillside olive grove allowing views across the bay, 35 minutes boat ride from Split. The project spreads across the water with villas facing the marina from across the water.
Guest Pavilions made from the surrounding grove slate walls create private spaces for guests with glass fronted pavilions and swimming pools roofed with reflective aluminium wings.
Four Bedroom Residences are interconnected and created from the perimeter ‘stone contour’ walls in the olive tree fields with trees rising from the swimming pools encased in glazed tubes.
The centrepiece hotel itself is set in an infinity edged swimming lake which spills over into a hillside spa below. The views worthy of a rotating hotel spread across the Adriatic Sea and over to the Roman remains of a Diocletian fish farm and dramatic countryside.”
Very cool hotel, will want to visit it when it’s done. Cheers!
“Every seven years, designer Stefan Sagmeister closes his New York studio for a yearlong sabbatical to rejuvenate and refresh their creative outlook. He explains the often overlooked value of time off and shows the innovative projects inspired by his time in Bali.”
Well said. Thoughts of heading to a remote place for a year seems doable. The trip will most definitely grant us new ideas, new ways of looking at life. Humans are meant to life the life that they truly want, and you got to start by knowing what you really want. Deep down inside every one of us, we know what will trigger our inner most passionate way of life. Stop working just for the green stuff. Start knowing your hearts calling, and work for that instead. The amount of satisfaction will be worth every moment of it. You know it, don’t you. You may start your quest now… Enjoy.

“Fruit grower Ken Morrish was left stunned when he found a golden delicious apple on his tree split exactly half green, half red down the middle.”
What a weird world! Have you ever thought of eating red apple and green apple within one single fruit? Nature’s answer to your call, half of each colour of the fruit found by a fruit farmer who is 72 this year. He have been planting fruits for 45 years and this is the first time he saw something so unique & rare. 1 in a million, said some scientist.
Or is it photoshop’s work? Might be true. So half of it is sweet! Half of it is sour? I wonder…
After staring northeast for quite a while for Perseids Meteor Shower. I think I could have saw a few shooting stars… Hehe… pretty romantic right? I know… Anyway, just want to share the below video to you guys as I think is very well made for normal people like us to understand more about space and time around our sun. Enjoy!
Total Solar Eclipse are rare to one, consider humans average life span only about 70-80 years. The next long total eclipse, 13 June 2132, 123 years later, which most of us should be in peace.
Dean Pesnell, the SDO Project Scientist, explains how the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) instrument will allow us to see activity inside the sun and even on the other side of the sun.
Naked Science: Earth’s Evil Twin : THURS JUNE 25 10P et/pt
Considered a hostile locale for life, Venus has recently revealed secrets that could change everything.
What do you know about Our Mother Earth? How much do you know? I thought I knew, but no. This very astonising and factual footage have well documented how a 4,000,000,000 (4 Billions) years old planet, can be transformed by a specie (Humans) that is mere 200,000 years old life form, faster and faster.
Be amazed and dazzled while watching this video, as you hug your loved ones. I felt serene and chaos while watching this, I am sure everyone will too. Yes, 80/20 rule. Yes. More money for military expenses than aids to feed hunger. I only agree that as humans, we need to grow, learn, improve our technologies, gather more knowledge. Capitalists and businesses should think what them can do for the world, more than the green stuff, way more important. For the survival of humanity.
When I looked outside the box, everything that i would consider bad in my life, becomes so tiny, so not important. So much more important things that I could do for Mother Earth.
Share this video with everyone you know, call them, tell them, blog about it. Everyone should be in the moment and feel the Earth around them after watching this. Feel the calmness within us. You think that pimple on your face is a BIG deal? Think again… We should do everything we can to maintain the Earth’s health, Now! Will you do you part? I will. This is getting more and more serious, faster and faster.
